Where in the World is Allan?
Allan, is situated in one of the finest and most
prosperous regions in Central Saskatchewan. It offers a stable economy
and combines the amenities of rural life with the city conveniences
nearby. The proximity of Allan to larger centers provides for a variety
of recreational, entertainment and cultural activities. In addition, the
Town is less than 2 hours away from the splendor of northern lakes,
parks and campgrounds; some of Saskatchewan's most popular vacation
spots.
Along with the beauty and variety of four distinct
seasons, the town and area are recipients of considerable sunshine,
moderate winds and adequate precipitation.
Allan is served by a network of paved highways and
grid roads. Allan is located 58 kilometers southeast of Saskatoon. From
Highway 16 turn south onto Highway 397, and drive 13 kilometers to the
town. Agriculture and business utilize rail and truck transport, while
provincial bussing provides regular passenger and express services to
major centers. Allan also has access to private airstrips in the area.
