From Museums to Curling, we have many recreational activities available in Allan.

CURLING RINK

Curling Schedule

The season runs from early November to the end of March. Some of the features in our skating rink are: Artificial ice (85' x 190'), - geothermal system, hockey and ringette lines, broomball nets available, safety glass around ice surface, inside and outside bleachers, sound system, large smoke-free waiting room with center ice viewing, food concession, four large dressing rooms with washrooms and showers, and a skate sharpening service.
Minor hockey is popular with teams from Initiation Level to Bantam.
There is a strong Figure Skating Club which includes Canskate, Canfigure and CFSA programs.
Adult Recreational Hockey Teams are regular users. Time is available for Parents and Tots Skating and Public Skating.
Out of Town rentals are welcome.

Our 4 sheet, artificial ice facility is open from mid-November to the end of March.

Some of the features found in our curling rink are : rocks with porcelain inserts, a wheelchair accessible main floor waiting room and washrooms, upstairs lounge with viewing area, large change room, and food concession. Seniors, Family, Open and Junior

Leagues run throughout the season.

The Ladies, Seniors, and Open Bonspiels are major events.

Funspiels are regular events for the family and recreational curler

 

SWIMMING POOL

Currently the pool is being renovated, we will be continuing fundraising to reopen the pool. 

 

ALLAN COMMUNITY HERITAGE SOCIETY AND MUSEUM

As of 2005, Allan has a new museum on Main Street.  Open Sunday Afternoons May through August.  By appointment for other times.  Their Website link is here.

GOLF COURSE

Our nine hole sand green course has seen continuous care over the past few years. Adult, Family and Student memberships are available at very competitive rates!
 

NEW HORIZONS CLUB

Allan has an active Seniors organization with activities organized out of the Seniors Recreation Centre.

Wheatland Regional Library

is located in the Town Office, and offers story hour and other programs. Their website is here.

Community Pre-School, and numerous other recreation programs.
